The IT consulting company PPI now offers insurers seamless integration of spatial information into existing IT systems and user interfaces. In a remotely-accessible demo system, interested parties can experience how nobisCum’s geographical information system SPACE fits into an existing IT landscape via Web services. The test environment, based on SAP CRM and Factor IPS, enables the user to assign tariffs and calculate premiums for environmental liability insurances Europe-wide with just one user interface. This reduces the effort for the insurance consultant significantly, and important spatial information, such as the proximity of protected areas, is automatically entered in the process of proposal preparation.
